Legendary Mansun drummer, Andie Rathbone received a rapturous reception from fans after giving two breathtaking performances in a surprise appearance at the 3rd Mansun Convention on 18th February. The convention celebrated the 20th anniversary of the band’s number 1 hit debut album ‘Attack Of The Grey Lantern’, held at the very place it was recorded – Parr Street Studios, Liverpool.
Andie played cajon with newly formed Desperate Icons performing haunting versions of ‘Legacy’ and the rare acoustic b-side from Eight EP, ‘The Impending Collapse Of It All’. He later drummed with the “amazingly accurate” Mansun tribute act, Taxlo$$ Lovers performing storming versions of ‘Negative’ and ‘Take It Easy Chicken’ to a rapturous audience.
