PROG GIVES A GLOWING REVIEW TO THE LAST GIG OF THE TOUR

PROG Magazine have given Paul Draper’s gig at The Electric, Brixton on the 8th March, a glowing review, saying

“This is no nostalgia tour – it’s the return to duty of a much loved British musician.”

“Draper’s voice has changed in the interim.  Although he can still hit those falsetto notes, it has grown richer and more sonorous.  He sounds at the top of his game.  That’s when the crowd give him a chance to be heard, anyway.  ‘Taxloss’ and ‘Wide Open Space’ are collective singalongs – fans drape their arms over one another in camaraderie and sheer joy at being able to see these songs performed again.”

“Draper leaves us with a promise to return next year to play Mansun’s Six alongside new solo work.  Janus-like, he’s looking to the past and to the future.”
